1. What this service is

Funded (the “Service”) is a self-assessment and organizing tool. It helps you estimate how prepared you are to apply for small business financing and gives you a checklist of steps and links to public resources. It is operated independently and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the U.S. Small Business Administration, any Small Business Development Center, any economic development authority, any government agency, or any lender.

2. What this service is not

• It is not a lender, broker, or loan referral service. It does not submit applications on your behalf.
• It is not legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice. Scores, benchmarks, and AI-generated commentary are informational estimates based on your own answers. Talk with a qualified advisor or your lender before making decisions.
• A score, including a “Bank Ready” or “Microloan / CDFI Ready” label, is not a guarantee, promise, or prediction that any lender will approve you.

3. Your account

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your login secure. You may delete your account at any time from Settings; see the Privacy Policy for what that removes.

4. Your documents

Files you attach to checklist items are stored only in your own browser on your own device. The Service never receives them. You are responsible for keeping your own copies, for redacting sensitive numbers before you attach or share files, and for what you choose to send to any lender.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to store other people’s personal information without their permission, attempt to access other users’ data, interfere with the Service, or use it for anything unlawful.

6. Third-party links

The Service links to government and nonprofit websites. We do not control them, cannot promise they are current, and are not responsible for their content. Government pages move; if a link is broken, tell us at support@example.com.

7. Availability and changes

The Service is provided “as is” and may change or be discontinued. We may update these Terms; when we do, the version above changes and you will be asked to accept the new version at your next sign-in.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of the Service is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on scores, benchmarks, commentary, or linked resources, or from loss of files stored on your device.
